Paper and converted paper products from Japan

Pulp, a paper reel, a coated material and a finished carton are different purchases. Start by naming the item you want to receive and the converting work still required.

Name what you want to receive

Nippon Paper’s product index separates pulp, printing papers, paperboard, hygiene products and converted materials.[1] The categories help frame an enquiry; they do not establish which company can export your specification.

Separate material supply from processing. Identify the specification you already control and the work you want another company to develop. Confirm production location and origin separately if Japanese manufacture is a requirement.

Describe the product family and the work

Use the relevant row as a starting point, then attach a specification or reference sample. Mark unknowns; do not replace them with an assumed standard.

Barrier paper needs both material and package evaluation

If you are replacing a film pouch, first identify the full construction and the tests behind its barrier values. Then plan converting and filled-package comparisons.

Send the reference and the open decisions

Include the reference or drawing, intended use, required quantity and unit, destination and desired timing. State whether the material, processing or finished item is being purchased.

For repeat orders, retain the approved specification and sample reference. Ask which changes need review before production, rather than assuming that the same product name guarantees unchanged performance.

Specify a shipping box in its packed condition

Compare dimensional basis, construction, stack, exposure and evidence rather than thickness alone.

  • Corrugated box specifications: dimensions and thickness leave the load open →
