Sauce sachet packaging machines: compare the same requirements
Updated · Written by HAM
Choose a sauce packaging machine against one set of product, packet, fill, output and trial requirements. Compare the unanswered conditions as carefully as the published specifications.
Start with the sauce and the finished packet
A machine advertised at 400 packets per minute and another at 800 may not be quoting the same job. A 10 ml smooth sauce in a small four-side-seal sachet is a different requirement from a larger packet containing pieces. Start with the product and pack you need, then ask each maker to assess that same combination.
This guide covers machines that form small sauce packets from roll film. If you already buy empty pouches, say so at the start: a premade-pouch filling machine is a different equipment route. A sachet machine catalogue is not evidence that it can handle your premade bag.
Bring three inputs into one trial brief
The arrows show information to agree with the maker, not a machine layout.
1Actual sauce
Product sample, filling temperature and solids.
2Film and packet
Sample roll, film structure and finished packet shape.
3Fill and output
Target dose, tolerance and required good packets.
One agreed trial brief
Use the same product, film and acceptance conditions for each candidate. Ask which trials and configurations are available.
Check the trial results
Compare good packets, fill results, seal findings and stoppages against the agreed brief.
Check the installation country
Name the commissioning, training and spare-parts contacts for the actual site.
If the product, film or target changes, revisit the trial conditions. A trial result is not proof of shelf life or a full shift’s output.
Give both makers the same operating conditions
| Requirement | What to provide | What the answer must resolve |
|---|---|---|
| Sauce | Product sample; viscosity with measurement temperature; solids and maximum particle size; filling temperature. Write “not measured” where needed. | Suitable pump and nozzle, product handling and any temperature control. |
| Packet and film | Three- or four-side seal; finished width and length; seal area; film structure, thickness and sample roll. | Usable filling space, film feeding, seal quality and required tooling. |
| Fill | Target amount and unit, such as 10 ml; required fill tolerance and how it is checked. | Dose range and repeatability with the actual product. Do not substitute grams for millilitres without product density. |
| Output | Required good packets per minute and per shift; number of products; changeovers and cleaning time. | Sustained output under the agreed trial conditions, including rejects and stoppages. |
| Installation | Country, utilities, available floor area, downstream equipment and operators. | Machine configuration, commissioning, training, spare parts and who provides local support. |
Unknown information is a question for the maker, not permission to fill a blank with a catalogue maximum.
Two Japanese models: what is actually published
| Condition | SANKO FR5 [1] | TOYO MV [3] |
|---|---|---|
| Product / pack | Liquid and paste; three-side, four-side and paired bags. | Liquid and paste; vertical, multi-lane four-side-seal packaging, mainly for food. |
| Size / fill | Width 30–150 mm. Length depends on the sealing-wing configuration; the listed ranges span 30–330 mm. Fill-volume range not stated on the model page. | Width 30–100 mm (fixed); length 30–150 mm (changeable); fill 5–50 ml. |
| Published speed | Maximum 400 bags/min OR maximum film speed 35 m/min. | Maximum 80 rpm × 10 lanes = 800 packets/min. |
| Open question | Which wing, pump and bag configuration meets your dose and good-pack output? | Which lane count and configuration meet your product, film and finished packet? |
Sources checked 17 October 2026. These are separate catalogue conditions, not a matched performance test or a ranking. Do not combine each model’s largest bag with its maximum speed. [1] and [3] are linked below.
The next comparison needs a product trial
SANKO describes tests with customers’ actual filling and film, including temperature and humidity conditions [2]. TOYO describes made-to-order proposals based on product, pack material, efficiency and installation space [4]; the pages reviewed do not specify a standard MV sample-trial service. Ask TOYO which trials are available and on which configuration.
For either candidate, agree the product batch, filling temperature, film roll, target amount, speed, trial duration and sample plan. Request the number of acceptable packets, the dose results, leakage or seal-contamination findings, stoppages and cleaning/changeover observations. A short successful run does not establish a full shift’s output. A packaging trial also does not establish sauce shelf life.
SANKO — trials and global service network ↗
Carry the trial through to the installation country
| Check | Public starting point | Still needed for your purchase |
|---|---|---|
| SANKO service | SANKO lists distributors in the USA, Italy, Australia and South Korea and factories in Thailand [2]. | Named contact covering your site, commissioning scope, training language, response arrangements and consumable availability. |
| TOYO service | TOYO reports deliveries to more than 25 countries and distributor/local after-sales support [4]. | Confirmation that this network covers the MV configuration and your installation country; service scope and travel costs. |
| Trial acceptance | The product and film must be assessed together. | Written acceptance criteria, results and unresolved exceptions; repeat tests if the agreed product or film changes. |
An overseas network is a reason to ask a specific service question. It is not confirmation that a technician or spare part is available at your site.
Discuss the requirement before comparing prices
Send HAM the product, target fill, required output and installation country, plus what you know about the packet. We can help organise missing information and the questions to put to Japanese equipment suppliers. The next useful result is a common brief and a clear list of conditions each candidate still needs to confirm.
Use the text below in the request form. If you have samples or film specifications, mention that they are available; the initial form accepts text, not attachments. We can discuss how to share the supporting material after the first contact.
